Earrings with spherical and pear-shaped components were popular on the 2011 Academy Awards red carpet, along with another trend — emeralds, mostly combined with diamonds and platinum. Amy Adams wore an emerald pendant and emerald watch bracelet, and Reese Witherspoon and Annette Bening both accessorized with emerald earrings. Nicole Kidman and Anne Hathaway each wore chunky diamond necklaces — Nicole’s a bit more of a choker than Anne’s. Mom-to-be Natalie Portman chose a blast of color, wearing tassel earrings that blended with her jewel-toned gown.
